This is an important rural industry that wil provide cheap source of protein to the poor.

Paneer Mattar is a common Curry dish in India for the poor. In Fiji the practise is not prevalent as cheese for curries is not available. Only expensive cheese is being sold.

The proposal is to make hardened cottage cheese and sell it to the residents and through supermarkets.

The Cheese Factory has been funded by the Federal Republic of Germany
