THE ROTARY CLUB OF BA'S VILLAGE CONCEPT IS BORN

The Ba Project is a unique initiative undertaken by Rotary District 9920 to convert a community of Fiji Indian squatters on the outskirts of Ba, into an economically independent community.

This is not just a housing project.

This is an environmentally friendly project designed to turn a community of destitute and underprivileged people in to an economically independent community with safe, cyclone - resistant housing, utilities, employment, income and independence; at the same time reducing landfill pollution.

Give a man a fish and you
feed him for a day.

Teach a man to fish and you
feed him for the rest of his life.

Teach a man to fish in such a manner that he accumulates a surplus beyond his daily needs and you will not only feed him for the rest of his life, but improve the quality of that life in ways that have nothing to do with fish.
