September 11th 2005, live on CTV. Featuring the Harcourts Horncastle Home for Ronald McDonald House It's official, the Harcourts House Party is underway - the biggest party to hit the South Island. This massive charity auction will see some of the South Island's top businesses join forces with Rotary clubs and communities all over the island in a fundraiser to help us realise our dream - to be able to begin work on Stage 3 and support more South Island families in their time of need. Organised by the Rotary Club of Christchurch Sunrise and sponsored by Harcourts, some 200 auction items will go up for sale at the start of September. Then on September 11th, 40 of the most unusual and/or appealing items will be auctioned live on a special C.T.V. variety show - with a host of entertainers and celebrities and featuring the ultimate auction item - the Harcourts Horncastle Home for Ronald McDonald House. It's about the South Island: All over the South Island you'll be able to be part of this event, with the support of local radio, newspapers and television. Multiple websites will keep you up to date and allow you to bid when the time comes. This is all about Mainlanders supporting their own community - and it'll be a heap of fun besides! How can you help? Rotarians all over the island are gearing up to accept your donations to auction. They'll be hunting down trips, cars, white-wear, household items, fashion, memorabilia, entertainment, corporate packages and more. Whether it would appeal to grandmas or newborns , individuls or companies, be it a 'one-off' or an everyday item, they'll want to talk to you.
