- Taupo Fireworks Display

Our
Rotary Fireworks Display became a feature of the Taupo community
calendar. Regrettably, due to lack of sponsorship, the last fireworks

- Emergency Box Scheme
Objective:
to have a pool of "ready to send/ready to use" Emergency Supplies
packed in purpose built containers which can be forwarded immediately for an

1990 ten members of Taupo Rotary spent nearly three weeks putting in
six water tanks on the Fijian island of Nacula. Read

The Time Capsule
The
Rotary Club of Taupo decided to organise a Time Capsule to commemorate 1990.
Members of the public were invited to record their histories and impressions
of life in Taupo in 1990. Read more....
The Spinal Cord Appeal
In 1998 Rotary District 9930 was asked to assist in
raising funds so that a New Zealand research scientist could join a USA based
team researching spinal cord injuries. We continue to fund on-going research
at Auckland University. Read more....
Tools for East Timor
A very successful project was organised by the club's
International Committee led by Director Roland Vowles. Read more.
New computer for IHC Lakeland
In November 2002 our club was proud to present a new
Personal Computer, scanner and printer to the local branch of IHC. The
computer is based in IHC's day services and will be used for word processing,
creating curricula vitae, administration, and generally honing computer
skills.
