RI Theme 2011-12

The Rotary Club of Mordialloc is a member club of the worldwide service organisation of Rotary International.  The Club is located in the south-eastern metropolitan area of Melbourne and its main activities are centred on Mordialloc, Parkdale, Mentone and nearby areas.  The club also participates actively in Rotary projects Australia-wide and internationally.

Weekly Meeting

The club’s weekly meeting is held at the Mordialloc Sporting Club, Corner Nepean Highway and Epsom Road, Mordialloc.  Meeting date and time are:  Tuesday 6.00 pm for 6.30 pm.

Annual Club Changeover 2011

The annual changeover of club officers for 2011 was held on Tuesday 28 June at Woodlands Golf Club, Mordialloc. Outgoing President Bob Travers reported on club activities of the past year.  Incoming President Jeff Needham and his team were then welcomed into office.

Annual Art Show 2011

The Rotary Club of Mordialloc annual art show for 2011 was held at Westfield Shopping Centre, Cheltenham from Tuesday 13 to Sunday 18 September. Some 300 paintings were on display and 51 of these sold.

 

Thanks to all artists, club members and friends who participated and helped to make this year’s show a great success.

 

Funds raised from the sale of paintings will be directed to a range of Rotary community projects. 

 

City of Kingston Annual Mayoral Charity Golf Day

Friday 23 September 2011

The 12th Annual Mayoral Charity Golf Day was held at Woodlands Golf Club, on Friday 23 September 2011.

 

This event is held annually with proceeds shared between the City of Kingston Charitable Trust and Rotary community projects.

 

 

 

Rotary Club of Mordialloc 40th Anniversary Celebration Saturday 12 November 2011.

The Rotary Club of Mordialloc celebrated 40 years of community service with a dinner at Woodlands Golf Club, Mordialloc on Saturday 12 November. The gathering was attended by some 140 guests including local parliamentary and municipal representatives, the District Governor Juliet Riseley  and other senior Rotarians, together with current members, representatives of other clubs and many past members

 

The guest speaker was Mr John Bertrand AM, skipper of the victorious Australia II in the Americas cup of 1983 and a close friend of fellow yachtsman and club charter member John Dawe.

Rotary Foundation Dinner – 23 February 2012

The Rotary Club of Mordialloc is hosting this year’s District 9810 Rotary Foundation Dinner at Woodlands Golf Club Mordialloc on Thursday 23 February.
