How to find CampbelltownCampbelltown is located 53 kilometres south west of Sydney in Australia. Travel by the M5 motorway and take the second Campbelltown exit at Narellan Road. From that turnoff it is but 3 kilometres down the hill, past the University of Western Sydney Macarthur Campus, over the railway line to the Campbelltown Catholic Club, where we meet. You can't miss it!If travelling by public transport take a train from Sydney to Macarthur station, which is the end of the line. Take a bus, taxi or walk back to the Catholic Club, about a kilometre from Macarthur station. By the way, Macarthur station is adjacent to Macarthur Shopping Square one of the largest shopping malls in Sydney. Travel time by both car and train is a little over an hour, assuming a good run. In August, 2007 a large 4½ star hotel opened on the Catholic Club site right next to the Club. Stay overs in the Macarthur are now easy. Look for the Rydge's sign. For the slightly jaded, the Catholic Club also runs a new fitness and leisure centre called Aquafit. If you are visiting Sydney and need to do a make up, why not come out to Campbelltown and stay over for a day or two. There is plenty to see and do. |
