You have a choice between a relatively easy Family
Fun Tour that goes around the lake on bicycle paths (Tour #1,
22 km) or:
A longer Lake and Rural Challenge on cycle
paths and bitumen roads. You can choose a suitable distance between:
Tour #2: Parliament House, 28 -46 km
Tour #3: Lake and Rural, 50-74 km
Tour #4: "Five Peaks", 77-100 km
To add to the challenge, you can include one or up to five hills. You
can download a brochure with details of the Spring Cycle (coming soon).
All tours start and finish at Blundell's Cottage, on the north shore
of Lake Burley Griffin (click here to see a map). Enjoy fruit and cakes
for morning tea at two sites (provided by members of the Canberra-Woden
Inner Wheel Club). A free BBQ sausage will be available for all entrants
at the finish.
Get together with a group of family, friends or workmates to enjoy the
scenic beauty of Canberra in spring. Regardless of your age and ability,
you can choose a distance and difficulty that suits you. There is a
tour to suit everybody - all ages and abilities are catered for.
The tour is again actively supported by Pedal Power, The Canberra Times
and Elect Printing. Click here
