Sunday Markets

The Wollundry - Wagga Wagga Sunday Market is held Each Sunday morning from 7 am to 12pm at the Myer carpark in downtown Wagga Wagga.

The market has evolved into a Wagga institution bringing together  hundreds of stallholders and thousands of buyers. The entry fee is 50 cents for adults with children free.

To sell your products, just show up on Sunday morning between 7 and 9.  Vendor charges are $10 per site.  A site is the size of one car park.  Tables and trestles can be rented at only $2.00 per set, and electricity is also available.

Come along and join us.  It's a great Sunday morning outing.

Saturday Farmers Market

Penny the Pig

The Rotary club of Wollundry Wagga Wagga is offering the free use of Penny the Pig to any district Rotary club.

The Pennies from Heaven project, as it was originally called, was co-ordinated by a committee headed by Ric Priest and Mark Hillis and involved the construction of a 3 by 1.7 meter self propelled vehicle, that for all practical purposes resembles a PIGGY BANK. The goal of the project was to collect as many old discontinued copper coins as possible by encouraging children to bring the coins from home and to feed the pig. When coins are fed to the pig, the pig's eyes lids flutter, his ears shoot up in surprise, and he lets out squealing and oinking sounds. The Pig has already toured much New South Wales raising money for the Rotary wing of Westmead Childrens hospital. The pig has brought in over $26,000 in copper coin donations over the past five years.

Penny is battery operated and comes mounted on a sturdy penny2.jpg (73914 bytes)trailer with covers for storage. The pig is a great crowd pleaser, perfect for parades and special events. Children love it. It is an excellent attraction for any community function or promotion.

It is also available for non Rotary use on a lease basis subject to approval by Wollundry Rotary. Please direct any inquiries to Ric Priest on 6931 2104.
