ROTARY DISTRICT 9700 CONFERENCE
YOUNG
23 - 25 MARCH 2012

The Young Rotary Club Inc. cordially invites you to attend the Annual Conference to be held in Young from Friday, 23rd to Sunday, 25th March 2012. 

The town of Young is centrally located in district 9700, with a population of around 8000 in the town and 12000 within the shire of Young. Young is known as the Cherry Capital of Australia. The Young Shire is made up of wheat, canola, sheep and cattle farms, with cherries and other stone fruit orchards. The Young Cherry Festival is held annually, usually on the first weekend in December. The Young Rotary Club is involved in assisting in the running of the Cherry Festival with our annual Ham Wheel and marshalling the street parade.

Conference Registration – Friday 23rd March 2012

The preconference registration will be held on Friday 23rd March 2012 at the Young Services Club, Cloete Street Young from 1.30pm to 8.30pm.  The “Welcome Dinner” on Friday night will be held in the auditorium of the Services Club commencing at 6.30pm for 7.00pm.

Conference Venue Saturday, 24th  & Sunday, 25th  March 2012

The Conference venue will be the Young Town Hall in Boorowa Street, Young. Conference will commence with a call to order at 08.45 on Saturday and call to order at 08.25 on Sunday.  Morning tea and lunch will be provided from this venue for Saturday and a morning tea for Sunday.  The Young Town Hall is located in the main street of Young, which has a thriving shopping area if you need a break.

Conference breakfasts - Saturday 24th  March 2012

There will be two conference breakfasts available on Saturday 24th March, one being for Presidents and Presidents Elect and the other for promoting Rotary Friendship across the District. There will be interesting addresses at both breakfasts.  These breakfasts will be held in the Bistro area of the Young Services Club from 07.00 but need to have been pre-booked on your Registration Form.

Conference Dinner - Saturday Evening, 24th  March 2012

The Conference dinner on Saturday evening will be held at the Young Services Club auditorium commencing at 6.30pm for 7.00pm. Dress is colourful casual - reflecting colours of Rotary International Logo for this Rotary year 2011/2012. There will be a band for music and dancing and District Award presentations by District Governor Ian Simpson throughout the evening.

Conference Lunch – Sunday, 25th  March 2012

On Sunday 25th March 2012 at the conclusion of the Conference, there will be a lunch supplied by the Boorowa Rotary Club, and available at the Anderson Park and Visitors Information Centre in Lovell Street. This will need to be pre-booked on your Registration Form prior to attendance.

Payment for attendance at Conference

Payment will be by way of personal cheque, bank cheque or postal note.  A receipt will be issued upon receipt of all monies and be available for collection upon registration.
