| Every Tuesday** | Our normal meeting is at Club Marconi, Bossley Park at 7.15am for a 7.30am breakfast. | **Visitors are most welcome, but you are asked to ring us (9610-7940) the day before, as we sometimes change to a dinner meeting for functions. |
| March 16th-18th | Rotary District 9690 Annual Conference. Held in Newcastle, this is a meeting of the 40 or so Rotary clubs in our district. As well as learning more about Rotary, it is an important social networking opportunity. | |
| May | Every year in May we present members of the emergency services with vocational achievement awards. Representatives of Police, NSW Fire, Rural Fire Service, Ambulance, St John Ambulance, and the State Emergency Services are invited to nominate members. The Rotary Emergency Services Awards (RESRA) night is held at Smithfield RSL. | May | We host the Annual Fairfield Charity Cup Golf Day at Fairfield Golf Course. This event is open to players of all levels, with the better golfers able to enter the Lansvale Holden sponsored "Holden Scramble", and the rest of us having a good social ambrose game. | June/July | All Rotary clubs elect a new President every year. 2006/2007 President Jim Brown will hand over the reins of the club to Keiran Slattery at a function to be announced. Keiran was President in 1998-1999. | |
| Sunday 9th December | We cook the BBQ for the Sydney Bikers Toy Run - a coming together of hundreds of motorcycles, some decked out with Christmas decorations, but all loaded with toys which are handed over to the Salvation Army at Horsley Park Showground. Bring the family - the kids love it! Raffle, BBQ, Drinks available 10.30-1pm. | Everyone is welcome - it is a sight to behold as the motor bikes thunder in around 11am. |
| Saturday 15th December | This is the big one. All of our members, together with local residents get together to host Carols In The Park. [Click here for more info] Come and join the thousands (and, yes it is thousands) of mums, dads and kids from about 6pm-10pm. Clowns till 6.30pm, pony rides till 7.30pm, facepainting, hot and cold food and drink, ice-creams, local school acts, Green Valley Youth Choir, carol-singing with The Eastern Charms and Vince Foti, displays from Rural Fire Service, SES and Police, huge raffle, FREE Parking, Master of Ceremonies radio & club personality PETE GRAHAM, fabulous fireworks display from Foti International Fireworks and a visit from SANTA! And all this is SIMULCAST LIVE on Radio 2SWR 99.9FM from 7pm-10pm. 2007 beneficiaries are not finalised but will include Rural Fire Service and our own Rotary projects. Other recipients of funds raised are Bossley Park Scouts, Horsley Park Primary School, Marion Primary School, Our Lady of Victories Church, St John Ambulance, and the State Emergency Services. | Get there early to grab your spot in front of the stage!
