2008-09 “Make Dreams Real”

Rotary Club of
Parramatta Daybreak (Inc.)

New Members

Rotary uses a classification system to establish and maintain a vibrant cross-section of representation of the community’s business, vocational and professional interests among members which develops a pool of resources and expertise to successfully implement service projects.

A club may have honorary membership. Persons who have distinguished themselves by meritorious service in the furtherance of Rotary ideals may be elected to honorary membership by a club. Honorary members are exempt from the payment of admission fees and dues, cannot vote or hold office and are entitled to attend all meetings and enjoy all other privileges.

All other members are classed as active. Membership dues are paid half yearly in January and July and a meeting cost which includes breakfast.

All members are encouraged to look for potential new members and should be invited to several meetings prior to being proposed. This will enable them to develop an understanding of the commitment required by Rotarians. A proposal of a new member should be discussed with the President.

Our Meetings

The Club meets every Friday morning at The Lighthouse Restaurant. Members arriving at 7.15am before the 7.30am start enjoy the time for fellowship. Meetings are not held on Public Holidays and the Board may cancel up to two meetings a year, usually around Christmas Time.

The Rotary Club of Parramatta Daybreak (Inc) is administered by a Board of Directors, who include President, Secretary, Treasurer and five Service Directors. The service areas include Club, Community, Youth, Vocation and International.

The Board is elected at the Annual General Meeting held in December each year, although they do not take office until the following July.
