CLUB HISTORY:

On June 14, 1972 Richmond Rotary was chartered by the Rotary Club of Windsor at a function at Windsor RSL. Windsor President was Brian Pulsford, District Governor was Eric
Blamey and the man who did all the work and to whom the club is very grateful was the late P.P. Geoff Moses.

There were 23 members in Richmond Rotary at charter. At the time there was a total of 35 members of Rotary in the Hawkesbury. Today there are approximately 130 members in
four clubs.

Over the last thirty two years Richmond Rotary Club has grown to fifty members, has chartered two new clubs, initiated and joined in countless local, Australian and
international projects, riased and distributed about $1.0million to different causes and assisted with labour in many Australian and overseas projects.

The club has sponsored and hosted students from a dozen overseas countries, sponsored and hosted young leaders in business to and from at least twenty countries, and our
members have worked in three pacific countries.

Our most identifiable project is the annual assistance with admission, parking, and catering at the Hawkesbury Show.

This is a massive undertaking, involving approximately 1200 hours of work for Rotarians, spouses, children and friends.
