Admitted
to RI in1978 originally as the Rotary Club of Kurrajong the name was
changed in 1994 to include North Richmond, where strong commercial growth
was beginning to alter the demographics of the area.
Previously
a predominately rural community the Rotary Club of Kurrajong North
Richmond
draws its members from a wide variety of vocations. Accountancy,
banking, building services, education, theatre etc. while still retaining
the atmosphere and fellowship of a semi rural community.
Our
Club supports the community both financially and physically by donating our
time and energy to needy projects.
Examples
being RFS, SES, Bowelscan, Careflight,
Relay for Life, Cancer Research, Australian Rotary Health Research Fund,
Kidney Research, Kurrajong Nursing Home Renovations, CWA, PKU etc..
Funds
are raised by contributions from the community purchasing tickets in our
annual Christmas trailer raffle and our White Water Duck Race
