Katoomba Rotary Club are very proud to have commissioned a book on the history of the local area by Audrey Armitage.

The Book "The Katoomba - Leura Story" is available from a selected number of book shops or directly from the Club. Published in 1999 it reflects the history of the area from evidence of the Aboriginal Communities through the early settlers, the development of a coal industry to the rise of the Blue Mountains as Australia's first tourist destination.

Well illustrated and beautifully produced the book can be ordered by post, or directly online for a cost of only $35 (AUS) including postage and packing.
