Short Term Exchange Progam (STEP)

The Short Term Exchange Program is an RI authorized Youth Exchange Program designed to allow students to experience a time in another country for about six to ten weeks as negotiated by the participating countries (Districts). Participants do not attend school and are hosted by a family whose son or daughter has or will be part of the program. A sponsoring Rotary Club has involvement but not to the same depth as with YEP. Participants broaden their outlook by learning to live with, and meet, people of different cultures, creeds and colours. STEP participants have: a cultural experience; through living with a family in another country; thereby advancing international understanding and goodwill.
