The forum is a two week science experience in Canberra
for year 11 students, giving them the chance to study and meet with scientists
and university lecturers in various avenues of science. Forums are conducted during the summer break and are
generally run in mid December and early January of each year. As well as being a fun time socially, it has proven to
be an invaluable experience for students wishing to embark on a career in science, but
not knowing which university course or which strand of science to pursue. Attendance is highly competitive and is sponsored
largely by local Rotary Clubs. Applications for NYSF close in May the year before
