Lennox's The bridge builder was David
Lennox with the assistance of convicts working in irons. The works cost
₤2,166.52 and is 190 feet long and the bridge was opened by Governor
Bourke in 1836. The New In the 1950’s a new bridge was designed to be in keeping with the original. It is 220 feet ling and cost ₤100,000.00 and was opened on the 18th December 1957. In 1966 the original bridge was given a face lift and repairs and the cost involved was $53,700 and the time allowed was 130 weeks. |
