Welcome to the Rotary Club of Burwood's website!

Burwood is one of the larger Rotary clubs in our district 9696, which spreads from Burwood to the Upper Blue Mountains and Liverpool.

Burwood Rotary Club has for its 69 years had a continual history of being very active in the community and focusing on raising funds for community service organizations. These may operate locally, across the nation or internationally. They each seek to improve the lives of the individual people and communities they are involved with and support - just like the Rotarians of Burwood.

The International Rotary Theme for 2008-2009 is "Make Dreams Real". This year we want to make dreams real with a special focus on children and their health, education and welfare. We will raise funds through a variety of events and projects during the year, and also when we get together weekly on Monday evenings at Burwood RSL Club.

We have an enjoyable time working together in Rotary. This includes BBQs for events such as World Youth Day, the Burwood Festival in Burwood Park and Australia Day Naturalisation Ceremony. We organise special fund raising events, such as Harbour Cruises, Trivia Nights, Dances and the Annual Christmas Stocking Raffle at Burwood Westfield.

We are serious about what we do, but we aim to maximise the fun and spirit of goodwill in doing it! Are you interested in our work to help make dreams real? Through active membership in Rotary, you can boost our help to our local community and beyond...and make a dream become real. Rotary's tradition of people enjoying each other's company and networking with others in the community is very strong in our club.

So, come and experience the communication and fellowship of Rotary with us at our Burwood Club.
