Community Chest

In 1992 the Burwood Rotary initiated an annual raffle to raise funds for community organizations.  At that time it raised $25,000 for local projects and since then it has steadily grown every year until it has become the most successful fund-raising project in Rotary's history in Australia.

The Community Chest is structured to bring the maximum benefits to all participants in theprogram - not just the people who win the prizes.

If you belong to another Rotary club you will find that you can use these projects to help your own local community projects.  If you are a school or any other community group you can obtain tickets to fund your own activities by selling these Community Chest tickets.

We've built this program as a service to the community and as a tool you can use to bring about beneficial improvements in our local communities.  I strongly urge you to read about how it works and take advantage of it.
