    a blip at the Fiji end has resulted in.......

    Duty of 12.5% (approximately $A500) charged by Fiji Customs based on the invoice value.  This has been paid for by the Rotary Club in Fiji.  Depending on other expenses this amount if possible to be reimbursed.

    Irreparable damage to the solar panel which will need to be replaced.  Cost of new panel is $A1,200.  FK to order new panel which will be taken to Fiji by technician when unit is installed. 

 

Delivering of clean potable water

With the aid of a grant from RDI Lower Blue has acquired and is developing a means of delivering potable water to a school in East Timor.

Working closely with the Savu Savu Rotary Club, who will manage this project which is on their home ground, we expect to have the first of these systems in situ and working by mid September.
