Membership Profile
In the early 1990s our Club membership number was in the high 50s and was the second largest in the District. Due to a number of reasons, retirement, re-location etc our membership declined.
At the commencement of the 2001 - 2002 Rotary year a pro-active approach was taken with a view to restoring our membership numbers and at the same time having a high retention rate.
Between 1st July 2001 and 30th June 2007 we inducted 37. This pro-active approach will continue during this current year.
The following profile of our Club makes interesting reading.

Since 1st July 1993 and as at 1st July 1998 our membership had declined by 23%. From 1st July 1993 to 1st July 2001 the decline was a staggering 43%. If we didn't arrest the trend quickly we'd find ourselves in a position from which it would be very difficult to recover. Another concern is the average age of members, 50.5 (1st July 2007) which is down from 59.4 on 1st July 1998. The spread of ages through the ranges are:
Under 30 1
30-39 2
40-49 5
50-59 9
60-69 17
70 plus 12
Total 46
The average age of our members as at 1st July 2007 is 50.5 years

Membership Growth is the responsibility of every member and should not be left to one or two members to introduce new members to our Club.
