| Jim was born in 1945 in Sri Lanka. He served an apprenticeship in Marine Engineering in SL and worked as a Marine Engineer in the British Merchant Navy for seven years prior to moving to Sydney in 1976. Once in Sydney he spent most of his working life first as an engineer and later in logistics at Wellcome Australia, a pharmaceutical manufacturing company. He and his wife Sue moved to Gloucester from Sydney in 1998 to set up a farm-stay on a 125 acre property at Wallanbah and now operates a Bed & Breakfast as well as an Occupational Health & Safety Consultancy in the town. Jim joined Rotary in 1999. |
