studies programs around the world this month, we are reminded of the depth and breadth of the work that our peace fellows are engaged in.&nbsp; In this seemingly tumultuous time in many parts of the world, we can appreciate the important work of our Rotary Peace Fellows.<br> <br> At their meeting in Chicago last week, peace fellow Amy Kay (UQ, 2002-04) reminded a group of Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinators that to,  study Peace and Conflict resolution at a Rotary Peace Center is not only to understand how to stop and end conflict, but also how the vast array of disciplines and talents needed to create sustainable solutions for the long-term can be used towards the same goal of world peace in the most effective way. <br> <br> This is an important message to remember as we view the broad scope of work peace fellows do every day. They are evaluating aid effectiveness, encouraging businesses to act responsibly, ensuring children have health care and education, monitoring elections, advocating for refugees and immigrants, and teaching the next generation of peace builders. They undertake this work to fulfill the promise that, as Amy mentions,  winning the war (or rather stopping the war) is perhaps less important than winning the peace. <br> <br> As we move through these uncertain times, it is reassuring to know that Rotary has made the important step of investing in peace makers that are dedicated to bringing stability and prosperity to our communities around the world.
