Message from District Governor John Randel 12 August, 2010:
“I have been in contact with DAA (Disaster Aid Australia) and wish
to inform clubs of D9640 that DAA has taken steps to deploy people
to Pakistan and as soon as we have some idea as to what is required
we will be making a District appeal for funds to supply what ever is
needed.
I therefore ask that until we have better knowledge of the extent of
their requirements, any funds that are raised for this disaster be
held by the clubs awaiting confirmation as to how these funds should
be dispersed, so that we can make a united effort to support the
people of Pakistan in their time of need.
As soon as I have further details I will inform you accordingly.”

Disaster Fund to be sent to DAA
immediately. This sum, along with $9,600 from the Rotary Club of
Hope Island, is only the
