2009 Rotary International Convention

   

 

 

Convention
World-renowned humanitarians and entertainers were just some of the highlights
during the historic 100th RI Convention in Birmingham, England, which drew
 to a close on 24 June. More than 15,000 Rotarians celebrated fellowship,
commemorated Rotary's history, and focused on the future.

Accomplishing more together
At the second plenary session on Monday, Clarissa Brocklehurst, UNICEF's chief
 of water  and environmental sanitation, discussed the world's clean water crisis.
 Tom Henderson, founder and CEO of ShelterBox, spoke about the successful past
 and vital future of ShelterBox, a Rotarian-sponsored disaster relief organization.
