Bulletin for Tuesday 29 July 2008

From the President

Fifteen members and two guests attended last week’s meeting – thank you! Apologies from Doug, Mike, Karyn, Craig, Teresa, Charmaine, Ken & Susan.

A special welcome to our guests – Noel Grummitt and RI Ambassadorial Scholar from Vermont USA, Lauren Skaskiw.

Lauren is studying at Griffith University, for a Masters in Education. She graduated from The University of Vermont in May 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and a minor in English. Since then, has worked as a Preschool teacher at two locations, each vastly different, but enriching, challenging and enjoyable. Lauren loves working with young children, to encourage a positive growth experience with the inquisitive minds of future. Lauren feels very fortunate to have received this wonderful opportunity to travel and continue with her education, and will give back to Rotary as much as she has been given!

A lively and productive Club Assembly was held, with more about that later in the Bulletin, thank you all for your invaluable input.

Allen
