The "Friendliest Rotary Club on the Gold Coast", where quality men and women representing many different professions and occupations come together to live the Rotary motto of "Service above Self".

If you are a business leader or professional considering a career move and lifestyle change you will find Australia's Gold Coast an ideal location. It has world famous surf beaches, World Heritage national parks, rapidly expanding population and booming economy. Our Rotary club will provide you with the ideal means to make new friends, establish a business network and contribute to the community. If you are interested, please contact us to arrange an invitation to a club meeting.

Our members meet every Thursday evening in the landmark Gold Coast Arts Centre situated on the Nerang River just across from the heart of Surfers Paradise. During our meetings, service activities are planned and informative, exciting speakers entertain us over dinner. Camaraderie continues as we all gather in the bar afterwards.

We organise a range of social activites in addition to the regular meetings. These include dinner parties, shows, golf, BBQs, car rallies, fishing, picnics and vocational visits to local businesses. Our partners and friends join us at these events.

In 1989 the club commenced construction of the Rotary Village, consisting of 12 units for rental by old age pensioners. The Queensland Government granted our club $347,000 towards the cost of construction, part of a program to relieve the chronic shortage of affordable accommodation for the elderly. The project involved the whole club, with the subcommittee alone contributing in excess of 1000 man-hours. The final two units, suitable for handicapped residents, were opened in 2000 and the club continues to own and operate the Village.

In 1997 our club was awarded an International Service Award, for starting ROMAC in Queensland. We work for ROMAC to this day, bringing disadvantaged overseas children to Australia for specialised medical treatment.

We run a number of fund raising public events each year, including the Bundall Business Dinner, Bush Dance and Pride of Workmanship Awards. These events, as well as numerous other fund rasing activities, enable us to support charities such as Life Education, Headway, Red Shield Appeal, Benowa Special Education Unit, Leukaemia Foundation and Guide Dogs for the Blind. In 1998 the club established a $6000 3 year University Scholarship with Griffith University.

The club is an active participant in many Rotary International programs, such as GSE, RYLA and Youth Exchange.

Through our membership we connect with people in other vocations, with business and civic organisations locally and nationally and with Rotarians throughout the world. All Rotarians are welcome to make-up at our meetings.

Prospective members are encouraged. If you are or are not a Rotarian, whether you live on the Gold Coast, have recently relocated or are planning to, please contact our President to discuss membership and a visit to our club.
