Community Service Programs
Community Service is one of the key areas of Rotary service.
Mitchelton Rotary Club undertakes a range of projects in support of the local community.
Australia Day Ceremony - On Australia Day each year we conduct a naturalization ceremony is held for about 40 new Australian citizens at the Arana Leagues Club.
Seniors Christmas Luncheon – Each December a Christmas luncheon is provided to around 100 seniors from the local community who have limited opportunities to celebrate Christmas with friends and family.
Charity Golf Day – In mid year a charity golf day is held at the Keperra Golf Club with the proceeds going to support local youth and other community programs.
Bowelscan Project - In conjunction with other local Rotary Clubs we are undertaking a Bowelscan Proscreening project which provides the community with a cheap screening process for the early detection of bowel cancer and related medical conditions. More information is available at Bowel Scan.
Community Service Awards – Mitchelton Rotary Club undertakes a Community Service Awards program to deserving members within the local community.
