Welcome to the web site of the Magill Sunrise Rotary Club.  This may give you a ‘taste’ of our Club and Rotary in general, but
we know you won’t be truly satisfied unless you ‘try’ it yourself.

The Rotary Club of Magill Sunrise meets at the Hectorville Sporting Club for an hour starting at 7am on Tuesday mornings every week.

WHAT’S HAPPENING?

 

The Rotary Relish is a tasty new fruit chutney, available for your consumption.  Order now or arrange a tasting, then distribute as a fundraiser for your club. 

 

 

The Magill Rotary Market is on the 2nd Sunday each month from 8am behind the Campbelltown Council Chambers, 172 Montacute Rd Rostrevor. Sellers set up from 7:30am ($15/space).  Buyers 8:00am (free).  Call in, make a booking or see some Pix.

 

 

Our Youth programs offer some amazing opportunities for students and young professionals – in some cases overseas.  Contact us now about RYLA, GSE, R-YPEN & Youth Exchange

 

 

By special arrangement, we offered Rotarians and partners the chance to join a 12 day cruise to the 2009 Rotary International conference in Birmingham UK. Way to go!!!

 

 

Our 'Taste of Africa' Fundraiser was a wonderful new initiative which allowed us to explore and be entertained by a night of African fun, food and music in support of 2 major public health programs in Africa.

 

 

Why have a Quiz Night you may well ask?  It’s a very good Question!!! 

Perhaps if you had joined us, you would know the answer to this question and others, like   “Who would have thought it would be this much fun?

 

Our Brazilian Exchange student Aline Borgo has said farewell to the club and to Oz – finishing with a brilliant report about a year of adventures, experiences, fun and friendships.

 

Quality Rotary puddings, whiskey cakes & shortbread will again be available for Christmas.  To place your order for the next delivery, simply contact us now.

Mary MacKillop College Year 12 Journalism Team.

 

ROMAC assists with the arrival, home hospitality and medical arrangements for patients and families bought to Australia for critical medical treatment.  Read Zerrio’s story

 

Our movie nights continue to combine fun and fundraising at the Wallis Theatre, Mitcham.  150 friends recently turned up to enjoy the movie, food and drinks.

Stunning local and international models, top fashions and much fun resulted in more treatment being made available to women suffering obstetric fistula in Ethiopia.  See the photos.

Footy Tipping Competition is over.  So who won?

 

Welkom Nederlands Team GSE.   The Rotary Club of Magill Sunrise hosted the Dutch Group Study Exchange team.   An exciting program ensured our special visitors were very active and well entertained.  Read more.

 

Our first ever Inbound Youth Exchange Student Aline Borgo has arrived from Mambore, Brazil for a year with our club. You can track Aline’s progress on her blog and checkout some of the activities the club has involved her in. 

 

Our Club has further developed Nightingale Park in Magill.  Since 1996, our club has contributed significant dollars, time and manual effort to its restoration and development.  Recent additions including a free gas BBQ provided by our Club, have seen it become a very popular family venue.

 

Alola Foundation Project – Recently our club provided massive support to the Alola Foundation in its efforts to assist the women and children of East Timor.  The total value of fundraising plus a container-load of donated goods exceeded $90,000-.  Read more.

 

New faces are always welcome at the Rotary Club of Magill Sunrise.  Rotarians from local clubs and around the world are regularly visiting, but it was a really special treat to be able to welcome 3 New Members at one of our recent meetings.
