Josephine Drury - August 2008

$500 donation to the Drury family of Hayborough to assist attendance of Josephine to transplant games following a letter from her parents:

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to you in regards in asking you to Help Joesphine Drury in pursuing her Goal in the 11th  Australian Transplant Games, Held in Perth from  October 4th – 11th . We moved down to the Victor Harbor area early 2007.

Joesphine had a Liver Transplant 3 years ago and is doing extremely well health ways. (This is the reason why we moved down to Victor Harbor for a better life for her and the other two children.) Joesphine is currently attending Victor harbor R-7 School which she really likes. She went from a level 9 Reader though too independent reading in one Year. Her Sister Sophie loves attending the school as well, as they have many more friends down here. Joesphine is our Eldest child and won Gold in the Adelaide Games in 2004, for Ten Pin Bowling at the age off 4. We are planning to drive over to Perth Leaving on the 1St October with our first stop at Ceduna and trying too make it over by the 3rd October. As it will be Cheaper for the whole Family to drive. Instead of Flying. Our Accommodation is $1584 for the whole Family, and we are trying to raise the funds for her to attend the Games, as we think it would be a great millstone in her life. You could also contact the Little Liver’s treasurer Comissa Fischer on 08 8367 9521 or 0402 019 064 as they have set up a fund so that you can put the money straight in to the account or send her an email on treasurer@littlelivers.org.au

Thank you so much for reading this and we look forward to hearing from you at your convenience. (If you need to see some photos of her through her Transplant we can arrange for you to see them.)

Tertiary Endowment – 11 December 2008

Each year we present the Investigator College with a $1000 endowment grant.   Towards the end of the year,  senior staff recommend a student who is in good standing within the college and the community, has qualified for, and is pursuing, tertiary education.

The funds are then transferred to help offset some of the costs of the student’s first year university fees.
