Rotary International District 9520 Rotary Club of IRYMPLE
"Paul Harris Fellowship"
Undoubtedly, the most important step to promote giving to Rotary International Foundation occurred in 1957, when the idea of recognition by donating to the foundation was first proposed in awarding a Paul Harris Fellowship. Although the concept of making $US1000.00 gifts to the Foundation was slow in developing, by early 1970’s the program began to gain popularity, and the distinctive Paul Harris Medallion, Lapel pin and attractive Certificate have since become highly respected symbols of a substantial commitment to the Rotary Foundation by Rotarians and friends around the world. The greatest personal honor any Rotary Club can bestow upon a member is the awarding of a Paul Harris Fellowship, in recognition of Service to Rotary and Service to the Community. In our club a Paul Harris Fellowship cannot be purchased, rather the efforts of all the members contribute to the awarding of a fellowship for services to the club. Rotarians honored by IRYMPLE ROTARY CLUB with a Paul Harris Fellowship
