Rotary Camellia and Rose Garden
Main Street , Woodside

Situated next to the Adelaide Hills Council Office,  the Onkaparinga Club set about developing a garden featuring a pergola centered in a Rotary Wheel and surrounded by roses and camellias- a peaceful place of respite for locals and travellers enjoying the Hills.   This project started in 1991.

In 1993 the Club developed a parcel of land into a town park with the facilities one would expect of a modern amenity.  As a tradition, the Club holds one club barbecue a year at the park and each overseas exchange student gets to plant a tree  in the park.

Some other initiatives of the Onkaparinga Club

• regularly provides a gourmet barbeque at the Lobethal Christmas Lights Festival
• regularly provides a gourmet barbecue for the RSPCA
• provides a gourmet barbecue as a service to Birdwood Primary School and Lobethal Lutheran School.
• is active with student projects including long term and short term exchange.
• provides gate keeping for Mt Pleasant Agricultural Show
• runs the Woodside Antique Fair
