Community
The Rotary Club of Burnside is involved with many community
projects. Several projects are supported on a continual
basis over many years, others are single-event activities.
Some activities are held to raise funds to support worthy
causes such as donations to the Royal Flying Doctor Service,
the club's Carpe Diem Trust or upgrading facilities
at the Helena Goldie Hospital at Munda in the Solomon
Islands. Still other funds are used for emergency disaster
relief or assisting communities in 3rd world countries
with, for example, access to potable water. Occasonally
the club may join with one or more other clubs on larger
projects.
