There are many extra reasons for ‘giving up a weekend' for the benefit of the rest of your life’. These include

RYPEN

RYPEN opens the doors to other Rotary youth programs
makes you stand out from the crowd

RYPEN gives you networking friends for the rest of your life

The Rotary Youth Program of enrichment
RYPEN will provide the opportunity for you to make a lot of new friends. We will challenge you and test you but you will have a lot of fun. You should also gain an insight into some of the skills needed to make a success of your life. As in most things, what you take away from the weekend will probably depend on what you are prepared to contribute.

To apply for RYPEN, download the application form, speak with your School Counsellor or ask a Rotarian from your local Rotary Club for an application form.  When it becomes available, fill it out and submit it through your local Rotary Club. Include a photograph with your application and print your name on the back. You will be contacted for an interview with a Rotarian from the sponsoring Rotary Club.

Further information can be obtained from your local Rotary Club or the district RYLA/RYPEN committee
District Chair,
Wendy Gaborit.

Participants are required to dedicate the specified time to attend RYPEN and spend the full and entire time at camp. Once  signed up there are no cancellations. If you participate in all activities, by showing the best of your leadership skills with a good attitude and open mind, you are guaranteed to get the most out of this camp.

Your local Rotary Club sponsors your attendance at RYPEN, and can assist with transport to the seminar.  You will be staying in dormitories with multiple people in a room, you will receive a list of what to bring and what not to bring to RYPEN. All meals are provided and you will receive a souvenir RYPEN "bag" both trendy and an ongoing reminder of an experience that will shape your life.

At the seminar there is plenty of supervision with Rotarians on site at all times to help with the weekend. Course presentations are made by college, university, school and professional leaders.
