The RYLA week demonstrates Rotary’s respect and support for the youth in our communities. At RYLA participants make friends and engage in teamwork activities. The week provides young adults with leadership skills that can be carried back to the communities.

RYLA publicly recognizes the high qualities of the many young people who are rendering their service in their communities as youth leaders, it also helps build character. Rotary promotes international relationships, friendships, fellowship and excellent communication skills.

Participants are required to dedicate the specified time to attend RYLA and spend the full and entire time at camp. Once  signed up there are no cancellations. If you participate in all activities, by showing the best of your leadership skills with a good attitude and open mind, you are guaranteed to get the most out of this camp.

Your local Rotary Club sponsors your attendance at RYLA, and may even assist with expenses. This is a matter between you and the Club. You will be staying in dormitories with multiple people in a room, you will receive a list of what to bring and what not to bring to RYLA. All meals are provided and you will receive a souvenir RYLA "bag" both trendy and an ongoing reminder of an experience that will shape your life..

At the camp there is plenty of supervision with Rotarians on site at all times to help with the weekend. Course presentations are made by college, university, school and professional leaders.
