This
is an important consideration - you want to know that after all
the effort of growing your seedlings that they will find a home
in a revegetation project.
Appropriate
species are locally native species, those that are originally
from your district.
Correct
provenance is seed collected from remnant vegetation around your
district. If the seed is collected from other districts or bought
from a seed merchant, your revegetation group may not be able to
use the resultant seedlings.
Your
local Greening Australia officer, Landcare Co-ordinator or local
government Bushcare officer will be able to advise on this. See
'Contact people and Organisations' in this section for contact details.
