“Share the Vision in New Zealand"

PRESIDENTIAL MEMBERSHIP CONFERENCE
Auckland, July 18-19  2008

Share the vision in NZ
Past Rotary International President Bill Boyd will join newly inducted RI President Dong Kurn Lee as keynote speakers at the 2008-09 Presidential Membership Conference in Auckland in July.

With a conference theme of Share the Vision, the conference, to be held on July 18 and 19, at Auckland’s Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre, will focus on Rotary’s changing demographics, the role of volunteerism in New Zealand society, the importance of vision, leadership and the value of Rotary’s brand equity, public relations and advertising.

According to Past District Governor, Conference convenor and then RI Director John Lawrence, the Auckland event will feature internationally renowned Rotarians such as RI Director and Chairman of the Membership Development and Retention Committee Ron Beaubien, and of course, New Zealand’s own PRIP Bill Boyd.

Other speakers are David Walden, CEO of TBWA/Whyben, Geoff Bascan, chief executive of Statistics NZ, and CEO of Ronald McDonald House Beth Harman.
“It will be a great opportunity to get to know these very experienced Rotarians and to start turning what are impersonal names for most of us into real people with  real personalities,” RIDE John said.

Conference Chairman PDG Andrew Meek  said all Rotarians interested in keeping Rotary vital and growing should attend the conference, which will be comprised of small group break-out sessions following each keynote address.
